Movie Review: Iron Man (2008)

Iron Man ( 2008 ***** ) stars Robert Downey Jr, Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard, and Gwyneth Paltrow.  This movie gets 5 out of 5 stars for it’s amazing work with CGI.  The Iron Man sequences are out of this world.  I highly recommend this movie to everyone.  If you are a fan of Mavel movies (Spiderman, X-Men, Hulk), you will enjoy Iron Man.

Robert Downey Jr. will reprise the role of Tony Stark in The Incredible Hulk ( 2008 ).  This will be the first Marvel film to use an actor for one role in two separate films.  I expect it to be a minor role.

In the News: South Chinese Submarine Base Spotted

Fox News has obtained satellite photos (one image) showing a large harbor and 20 massive tunnels under construction.  Defense analyst believe these images could be a new submarine base for the Type 094 Jin-class nuclear submarines (Telegraph sources).  It is expected 6-8 of these submarines will be built with one becoming operational in 2008.

In the News: 21-Year Old Texan Man Attempts to Cash $360B Check

A 21-year old North Texan man, Charles Robert Fuller, attempted to cash a $360B personal check in Fort Worth last week.  He wanted to start a record company and claimed the check was from his girlfriend’s mother.  The bank contacted the woman and learned Fuller had not been given any checks or permission to cash them.

Local police arrested Fuller on forgery charges.  On his person at the time of arrest, officers found a .25 caliber handgun and some marijuana.  This added to charges against him to include possession of an illegal substance and unlawfully carrying a gun.

Fuller was released after posting $3,750 bail.
