The Associated Press reports CIA Director Michael Hayden made the following statement in response to a student question while delivering the Landon Lecture at Kansas State University.
“It is my opinion, it is the policy of the Iranian government, approved to the highest level of that government, to facilitate the killing of Americans in Iraq. [sic]“
That is a very important statement made by a highly placed U.S. government official. It comes awful close to admiting an unofficial war is already being fought with Iran. If you look at the world map, you’ll notice Afghanistan and Iraq both border Iran. Al Qaeda has to be hiding out somewhere. My guess is Iran. Iran allows them freedom of movement and a central location for funneling troops and supplies. If that is true, we all know where to find Osama Bin Laden.
