Books: 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss

Posted by JungleBoot on May 4, 2008

Today, I purchased the 4-Hour workweek at the local Barnes & Noble.  My plan is to read the book within the alloted 14-day return window and get my money back.  I stongly believe it only repackages material found in other books.  An example, Mr. Ferriss talks about the art and science of Lifestyle Design (LD) on page 7.  Lifestyle Design is nothing new.  Anyone who has read the Anthony Robbins book , Awaken the Giant Within, has encounter this idea.

So far, the book has followed the classic lead in of all self-help material — the success story.  The great thing about success stories — they can be made up.  How many people actually have the resources to check it out?  Some achievements you can’t take away from people.  There are records.  Still, the lead-in is recognizable.

There is no reason to not give this out.  The forum page asks for the second word in paragraph one on page 271.  I figure anyone can go to a bookstore and obtain this information.  Why not save you the trouble?
